Disability Discrimination Act
The Disability Discrimination Act - Action Plan for Leichhardt Council will assist in continuing to improve and enhanced access where required, in a manner that provides dignity and respect for people with a disability.
Leichhardt Council is strongly committed to the provision of equal access and creating an accessible environment for all. It encourages everyone to be involved in implementing the Action Plan and to share in the overall benefits that are gained by the whole community.
The Disability Discrimination Act - Action Plan is in keeping with the community's vision in Leichhardt 2020+ for an accessible and liveable community. The Plan reflects Council's policy commitment to social justice and social inclusion, and will go a long way to ensure that Council continually makes improvements where needed with a view to providing an accessible community for residents and visitors.
