Leichhardt Youth Council is a committee for young people aged 12 – 24 years who live, work, study, frequent or simply care about the Leichhardt Local Government Area. The Youth Council is an official advisory committee of Leichhardt Council and meets fortnightly.

Youth Council involves young people in issues that affect them by providing them with a forum for discussion and action. The Youth Council also gives young people the opportunity to work on real projects in the community such as youth events and school holiday activities.
