Parties in Parks
Leichhardt Council has many parks which are great for family picnics, birthday parties, etc.
Organised gatherings of over 10 people require a park booking. For more information on booking a park for a social gathering go to: Booking a Park/Sporting Ground.
- Chairs, marquees, BBQs and other structures may be permitted, with prior approval of Council. Please make sure you list all activities on your booking form.
- Jumping Castles may also be permitted at certain venues with prior approval of Council. Proof of $20 million public liability insurance from the Jumping Castle provider must be attached to your booking application.
- Parking is very limited at many of our parks, so alternative transport such as walking, ferry or shuttle bus may need to be arranged for large groups.
