Works Zones

If a person wishes to cordon off an area for the undertaking of construction activities they must complete a works zone application form and get prior approval from Council. To apply for a Works Zone the applicant will be required to do the following:

• Complete application form for Works Zone (Click on link below to download form).
• Permit fee is applicable (refer to application form) and must be paid upon application. Fee must be paid before a works zone will be installed.
• Minimum of six weeks notice is required to process, approve and action an application.
• A works zone application must be reported to the Local Traffic Committee for approval and subsequently reported to Council for final approval.

NOTE: Works zones must be used in accordance with the Australian Road Rules and cannot be used for the storage of materials.
